Almond Oil
Almond Oil – Prunus amygdalus dulcis
Why we love it at The Mindful Gem
Almond oil is a natural emollient alternative to petroleum-based moisturizers and synthetic silicones. Clinical studies show sweet almond oil improves complexion and smoothness in dry and damaged skin (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2010, DOI: 10.1111/j.1473-2165.2009.00437.x). At The Mindful Gem, we use sweet almond oil in creams and body oils for deep hydration and as a gentle carrier in herbal infusions.
